Special Notification of Fee Increases

 

 

The Executive Board of the Suffolk Aero Modelers regrets to inform you that the Heckscher State Park permit, necessary for the flying of Remote Control Aircraft, has increased in price.  The original permit fee of $25.00 has now increased to $40.00.

 

SAM will put forth the additional funds needed to process the permits for those members that have already submitted their renewal paperwork for processing.  There are 28 members who will owe SAM an additional $15.00.  The additional $15.00 will be due the night of the January meeting, or you may mail a $15.00 check to the club treasurer.

 

If your $15.00 is not received by the January meeting date your permit will be withheld and voided for non receipt of funds, NO money will be refunded, as the park has already processed your permit.

 

All other members that have not yet submitted their paperwork for renewal, please include a park permit fee of $40.00 and $50.00 for open membership (Total $90.00).  Junior members will pay a park permit fee of $40.00 and $27.50 membership fee. (Total $67.50)

 

EMPIRE PASSPORT Increase:

 

The State of New York has also increased the Empire Passport from $59 to $65.  Even if you buy more than one passport they are all $65.00.  Daily gate entrance fee’s have NOT increased, only the Empire Passport.  (8 trips to the park pays for the permit) Are these increases fair? NO THEY ARE NOT, but welcome to NEW YORK!
